Turmeric Almond Energy Bar

Turmeric Almond Energy Bars are a healthy on-the-go snack that provides a protein source to your breakfast by using almonds. With the addition of turmeric, an anti-inflammatory ingredient, and cinnamon which helps to balance the blood sugar. Shape into bars, squares or even balls for this quick to make treat!
- 1/2 cup soaked dates
- 1/2 cup cashews
- 1/2 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch pink salt
- Chop the dates and nuts finely (or pulse in food processor until chunky)
- Combine all ingredients well and form into bars
Feel free to experiment with this recipe. Prefer hazelnuts or macadamias? Then add these instead of cashews or almonds. You can also use pine nuts, pumpkin seeds or hemp seeds. Have fun with it.
