
Fast Flax Bread
Description
Fast flax bread is not only a versatile high-protein snack or meal suitable for any time of the day, but it is particularly delightful when enjoyed for breakfast. It can be conveniently prepared in advance, allowing you to make it the night before and store it in a tightly sealed container in the fridge.
Ingredients
Scale
1 cup Flaxmeal
3/4 cup Water
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp Sunflower seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare a baking sheet over an oven tray
- Combine, flax meal, baking powder, salt and water until mixed well
- Leave to rest for 15 minutes so the liquid is fully absorbed
- Divide dough into 2 bun slices – top and bottom of the bun
- Shape it on top of an oven tray lined with baking paper
- Place seeds (if using) on one half which is the top bun
- Bake in the oven for 15- 20 minutes until cooked
- Transfer from oven to serving plate

- I love to fill this with additional high-protein ingredients, mainly eggs.
