
Cauliflower Gluten-Free Pizza Base

Ingredients

- 1/2 head cauliflower
- 1 organic egg
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180c
- Whizz the head of the cauliflower in a food processor alternatively use a cheese grater over a bowl leaving just the stalk
- Place the grated cauliflower ‘rice’ into a pot with a tight fitted lid and add one cup of warm water
- With the lid on allow to steam for 5 minutes
- Remove from heat and transfer the rice to a muslin cloth or a very thin clean tea towel
- Give a good squeeze to remove any excess water
- Place the rice in a bowl and stir in the egg, oregano & salt until you have a dough like mixture
- Spread the mixture on a lined baking tray or a pizza base tray
- Bake for 15 minutes or until slightly golden
Notes
- Top your pizza base with any ingredients you like eg. a good quality (watch out for added sugar) tomato sauce or tomato puree
- Then sprinkle with your favourite pizza ingredients or any leftovers in the fridge
