Broccoli Pizza Base (Vegan, Gluten-Free)

Broccoli pizza base

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • black pepper
  • sea salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 160c
  2. Grate the head of the broccoli, (it’s ok to use most of the root) into a bowl so it resembles rice grains
  3. Steam the broccoli grains for 1-2 minutes until soft in some hot water
  4. Place the steamed broccoli with liquid into a muslin cloth or a nut mylk bag and squeeze until all the liquid is removed
  5. Combine the strained broccoli in a bowl with the remaining ingredients
  6. Line a round (9 inch) tray with baking paper
  7. Spread the broccoli mixture evenly over the tray
  8. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned
  9. Top with favourite ingredients
