Baked Cinnamon Pears Recipe – Vegan and Gluten Free

Description

This recipe ensures you get a wholesome breakfast that’s customizable and nutrient-dense, but if you feel you wanna turn this into a healthy snack or dessert it has the versatility. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pears Deseeded and halved
  • 1 cup Coconut water
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ cup Sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup Cacao nibs 
  • 2 tbsp Raw honey

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven 
  • Place the deseeded pear halves in a large mixing bowl
  • Sprinkle with the cinnamon 
  • Pour over the coconut water
  • Combine with a spoon until the pears are equally coated
  • Pour into a casserole dish and bake for 45 mins (the steps before can be done ahead of time)
  • Remove baked pears after cooking time or when they’re soft to touch with a fork
  • Pour into a serving bowl and sprinkle with the remaining ingredients and drizzle with honey

Notes

  • I typically serve this dish with coconut yoghurt
  • To increase the protein content you can sprinkle with more seeds or nuts
